The Europa League group action continues with the Ajax vs Brighton live stream. It takes place in the grand setting of the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, and it should be a fascinating encounter.

Brighton claimed their first-ever European win in the reverse fixture last month. Their progressive, attacking brand of football was too much for an Ajax side having a terrible season. They will undoubtedly try to bring that to this game, although away trips in Europe are always more challenging. The Seagulls also remain beset by injuries and are missing the likes of Solly March and Pervis Estupiñán, to name but two. They may though be able to welcome back Tariq Lamptey and Adam Webster.

The home side have more European pedigree than their opponents, but not much has gone right for them so far this season. They sit eleventh in the Eredivisie, having only recently moved away from the drop zone. Ajax were heavily exposed on the British south coast but have managed a couple of wins under new boss John van 't Schip and will be keen to keep that honeymoon period going in front of their own fans. There is also a goal threat in the form of former Spurs forward Steven Bergwijn.

Ajax vs Brighton kick-off time & stadium

Date: November 9, 2023

Kick-off time: 5:45 pm GMT

Venue: Johan Cruyff Arena

The UEFA Europa League match between Ajax and Brighton & Hove Albion will be played at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

It will kick off at 5:45 pm GMT on November 9 in the United Kingdom (UK).

John van 't Schip has snapped a 10-game winless run in all competitions as caretaker at the Dutch side, who are now eyeing a third straight win following Eredivisie wins over Volendam and Heerenveen.

At a time Ajax hunt for their first win in the European second division this term, Brighton will be looking to complete the double in Group B.

However, the continental win at the Amex was the Seagulls' only victory in their last eight games (D4 L3) in all competitions as Roberto De Zerbi's men drew their last two league games 1-1 with Fulham and Everton.

Steven Bergwijn looks to have recovered from the knock he sustained when the two sides met last month, with Chuba Akpom's recent form throwing in some competition for the former's starting berth.

Although Van' t Schip will not look to make too many changes, Borna Sosa may have earned the left-back spot ahead of Arjany Martha.

Geronimo Rulli, Sivert Mannsverk, Jay Gorter and Amourricho van Axel Dongen make up for the ones out injured for the hosts.

De Zerbi would remain without the services of Pervis Estupinan, Jakub Moder, Solly March, Julio Enciso and Danny Welbeck through injuries.

Both Joao Pedro and Ansu Fati, who were on target against Ajax the last time out, are expected to return to the XI as part of the rotations.

Brighton & Hove Albion will attempt to secure back-to-back victories against Ajax and boost their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage of the Europa League when they travel to Amsterdam on Thursday evening.

João Pedro and Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati were on target in last month's 2-0 success over the struggling Dutch giants at the Amex Stadium. It was the Seagulls' first ever victory in continental competition, and saw them climb to third in Group B.

Roberto De Zerbi's side failed to beat AEK Athens and Marseille in their opening two games, although another victory against Ajax would set them up nicely for the reverse fixtures with the two teams ahead of them in the table.

Ajax prop up Group B after failing to secure three points in any of their opening three Europa League games, but a couple of league wins in the last week has at least arrested their early-season collapse.

Former Brighton loanee Chuba Akpom stepped off the bench to bag a brace in Sunday's 4-1 league romp against Heerenveen, and he will be hoping to start against his old club.
